This July, after the re-accreditation visit of the State Agency “Latvian National Accreditation Bureau” (Latvijas Nacionālais akreditācijas birojs; LATAK), LVM Zemes dzīles laboratory was granted accreditation for the next five years, including in the flexible sphere.
LVM Zemes dzīles testing and research laboratory conducts mineral testing in accordance with European standards.
Last autumn, the annual certified production process control monitoring visit to LVM Zemes dzīles took place in cooperation with the independent certification organization SIA “Bureau Veritas Latvia”.

Peat deposits in the territory of Latvia forms 10 % – 15 % of the country's area, or about 6782 km2 to 9700 km2 [1]. JSC “Latvia's State Forests” (LVM) manages more than 50 % of all peat bogs in Latvia, of which LVM has leased 16.8 thousand ha or 168 km2 deposits for peat extraction.
